Colin’s ‘Fridge Mates’ raise funds for Maggie’s
Colin Tommis dropped into the studios to chat to Steve Evans. Colin recently has had more therapy at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre for his condition and had paid a visit to Maggie’s who give amazing support to cancer patients and their families.
Colin, from Wales chatted with Steve about how he discovered he had cancer and explained about the treatment he is now having. On the back of this, Coin decided to author a book that initially would appeal to the younger generation. But since his early drafts, he altered the book to aim it at a slightly older generation as well. Including adults who will no doubt find it interesting and funny.
‘Fridge Mates’ published by Unwinding Skies Publishing, is just that. A story about the destiny of fridge foods in the house of a dysfunctional family headed by Stanley, who inadvertently eats magic mushrooms. Whilst the contents of the fridge, Marmalade, Cheddar, Lettuce and Four Litre Milk and others discuss their fate.
Colin also has a passion for classical guitar music and is often plucking away at home on his classical guitar to the likes of Money for Nothing, Babooshka and Heart of Glass amongst others.
You can purchase Colin’s book ‘Fridge Mates’ on Amazon, or by dropping into Maggie’s on the Clatterbridge Health Park, who will benefit from the proceeds of any books they sell.
