It’s difficult to get a word in edgeways when Becky’s in the room – which is why she’s perfect for Radio Clatterbridge.

Not only does she liven up the studio when she’s on air, but she’s also a welcome distraction to patients when she goes onto the wards to collect requests.

A youth worker for the Ellesmere Port-based charity Youth Federation, she originally wanted to become a professional broadcaster.

“Radio was the career path I wanted to go down, but after visiting the patients and getting to know the listeners on the health park I can't imagine not volunteering now!” – Becky Hardman

Becky is no stranger to the limelight, performing on stage when she was younger. With nerves of steele, she once sang solo at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.

She appeared in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Boyzone’s Stephen Gately and was in Scrooge with Eastender Shane Richie and Britain’s first teen idol Tommy Steele.

Becky spends her spare time socialising and “trying” to work out when she can. A new homeowner, she says she’s quickly learning how to become domesticated.
