No Regrets For Mayor

The Mayor of Wirral has told Radio Clatterbridge how he's had no regrets about his year in office.

Cllr Dave Mitchell has been talking to presenter Steve Evans about his experiences over the last eleven months.

The father of two and grandfather of four has been explaining how he's had to juggle family life with his busy mayoral commitments.

He's met lots of people during the year, including royalty.

But the borough's first citizen told listeners to the Coffee Club how he's been amazed every single week by the ordinary people he has met.

"I knew all the good work that was being done on the Wirral by lots of volunteers and different organisations but when you become Mayor and go out and meet these people it just blows you away." - Cllr Dave Mitchell, Mayor of Wirral

Cllr Mitchell's tenure as Mayor comes to an end on 2nd June.
