Trio's Triumph

Trio's Triumph A small team of talented musicans helped raise money for Radio Clatterbridge this evening. Pianist Yukiko Tani, Mark Szydlowski on the cello and violinist Melanie Harvey performed at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead. Chairman Dave Adams introduced Bridge Romance, three sets of miniatures composed by Frank Bridge, followed by Piano Trio No 1 in F Major, Opus 18 by Saint-Saens. After the interval, the audience enjoyed Schumann's Piano Trio in D minor Opus 63. Clatterbridge Hospitals League of Friends also benefited from the evening and two of their Vice Presidents attended, along with members of both charities.

    Di Gaskell presenting part of Doddy DayTelevision viewers across the north west were able to join in with our special day celebrating the life of our patron Sir Ken Dodd. Cameras from ITV Granada Reports were in the studio to record Doddy Day, our tribute to the 90 year old comedian on the day he was laid to rest.
