Changes at Clatterbridge League of Friends

Dave Adams receives the Philip Owen Award

Changes are afoot at the Clatterbridge Hospitals' League of Friends - with two Radio Clatterbridge presenters taking up new roles.

Dave Adams becomes Vice President of the charity, which raises funds to improve the experience of patients in the health park.

The In The Mix presenter is standing down from his voluntary position as Vice Chairman because of work pressures.

He has spent a decade on the committee and has been Acting Chairman since February.

Dave was presented with the Philip Owen Award for volunteering by Philip's widow Jill for his services to Radio Clatterbridge and the League.

Meanwhile, Live From The Bridge host Phil Price takes over Dave's role as Radio Clatterbridge's representative on the team.

"I am pleased to be taking up the role of Radio Clatterbridge representative on the LoF Committee. I have always loved radio, so it will be a privilege to represent the station at the League." - Phil Price

Former Chairman Ken Arnold has also stepped down from his role on the committee for health reasons.

He is replaced by Amanda Rummery.

The Mayor of Wirral Cllr Geoffrey Watt

The changes were accepted at the charity's annual general meeting, held at Wirral Hospice St John's in the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral.

Radio Clatterbridge Chairman Steve Evans proposed the committee en bloc and new members for another year, in line with tradition.
