Christmas treats for listeners

Radio Clatterbridge is stuffed with special treats for listeners this Christmas.

We've overhauled our schedules with a number of extraordinary programmes to entertain anyone stuck in the health park over the fesive season.

Christmas presents

As ever, we are live from our studios on the big day.

Geoff Peters will be wishing everyone a merry Christmas from 10am while Ron Berkeley will be lining up festive tunes from the 50s and 60s in a Good Time Oldies special from midday.

There's also another chance to hear this year's moving Light Up A Life service from Wirral Hospice St John's.

Meanwhile, if you've ever wondered how much it would cost to put on the Twelve Days of Christmas, we've got the answer!

Dave Harvey does the sums on Boxing Day - for everything from a partridge in a pear tree to twelve drummers drumming.

And if you missed any of Ian Grant and Helen Sestan's 20 Hour Takeover in October, you can hear the highlights from noon.

Helen Sestan and Ian Grant

Andy Bonner sees out the year reminiscing with some of the station's greatest moments from the past 12 months on New Year's Eve at midday.

Then at 4, Paul Johnston counts down the most popular songs of 2016 in our annual request chart.

We also welcome June Wood back to the station for a two-hour live spectacular with Christmas music from the big screen, while Dave Adams reprises his annual celebration of the small screen in TV Hits And Trivia on New Year's Day.
