Ian Grant and Helen Sestan's 20 hour takeover of the Radio Clatterbridge airwaves made headline news.
The newspaper featured an image of the presenting duo in the studio during their challenge aimed at raising awareness of breast cancer.
The article, written by reporter Craig Manning, explained how Ian and Helen had presented every one of our weekday programmes from 5am through until 1 o'clock the following morning.
"The volunteers, who work at Asda in Arrowe Park and Bromborough, wanted to mark the hospital station’s 65th birthday and the 20th anniversary of the supermarket’s Tickled Pink campaign." - Craig Manning, Wirral Globe reporter
The article told readers about the various special guests that Ian and Helen welcomed to the studio including comedian Pauline Daniels who has had the all-clear after fighting breast cancer herself.
It also revealed that Ian and Helen wore a different pink-themed outfit for every hour of their challenge.
The pair also dedicated an hour of the live broadcast to music from 1951 and 1996 - the respective years when Radio Clatterbridge and Tickled Pink launched.
On Air, the national magazine for hospital broadcasters, also featured the story.
"On Friday 21st October 2016 at 1am, weary-sounding Radio Clatterbridge presenters Ian Grant and Helen-Louise Sestan-Burton celebrated successfully hosting every programme on the station for 20 hours." - On Air magazine
Congratulations to Ian and Helen for a successful broadcast.
