Radio Clatterbridge is a relatively small charity and we always face an uphill struggle to raise the cash needed to sustain a daily radio service. Our studios sound and look fantastic, but the facilities come at a cost. Around £10,000 was spent on upgrading our main studio and fitting out the station.
So how do we meet the ongoing costs? Clatterbridge Hospitals League of Friends, Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre have all generously donated money towards various projects over the years.
We have attracted grants from major organisations as diverse as Littlewoods, the National Lottery, Mars, Halifax Bank of Scotland and British Gas. Local firms like JL Building Services, Three Circles Fostering and Home Instead Senior Care are three of our on air sponsors. We have also received financial support from the Port Sunlight Workplace Trust, Vauxhall Motors’ Employees’ Charity Fund and the Wirral Scouts & Guides Christmas Charity Post.
Sadly though, it doesn't end there. As Radio Clatterbridge also broadcasts on AM to allow our programmes to be heard by people anywhere on the Health Park, it means there are increased running costs for the station.
All donations are gratefully received. So how can you help?

Radio Clatterbridge isn't restricted to the grounds of Clatterbridge Health Park. Each year, we hold a series of roadshows across Wirral. These popular events raise vital cash to help towards the running of the station. They also create a fantastic publicity opportunity, keeping the name of the station in the minds of local people.
